Check in with the front desk and let them know that you are with Raw Learning.
You will leave your art there to be fired and then it will either be left at the Warehouse Art Gallery for you to pick up, delivered to you at a future field trip, or brought to Raw Learning in Staunton.
Raw Learning has OPEN ENROLLMENT!

The following is a list of the fantastic classes that will be held this week and their engaging activities!
Week of September 5, 2016
Labor Day! No School!
Field Trip Fun: Prepare for our trip to Luray Caverns by making your very own Sugar Karst Cave! Also, make your own pinch pot in preparation for our field trip with the Pottery Lady!
Pokemon Go!: Set up our Pokemon Go! Accounts, and walk to the corner of E. Beverley St and Coalter St collecting Pokemon.
Drama Kings and Queens: Acting for Children: Play theater games and hand out monologues for auditions! NO CLASS FOR NEXT TWO WEEKS!
Auditions will be Sept. 27, and we will be performing a play on the last day of class. Once a child has auditioned (everyone will get a part—I will choose a play based on the number of actors who audition), participation is mandatory if she or he wishes to participate in the play. Please discuss with your interested children the value of committing to a group project and the effect that they might have on the others in the group if they quit mid-project.
If your child will not be at class on Sept. 27 but would like to participate for the rest of the trimester, please email me to arrange an audition.
Anyone wanting to join the class after auditions will only be able to participate in warm-up games and then observe. If an opening in the production becomes available, they may be given a part, but there will be no guarantees.
International Cooking: Delve into Asian cuisine! Using delicious vegetables we will create an Asian inspired dish!
Wednesday: Field trips!
Spies Decoded: Fiction and Real Life Detectives and Spies: James Bond, Sherlock Holmes, Ethan Hunt (Mission Impossible), Major John Andre, Scooby-Doo … Elicit spies and detectives known to them. Play in pairs or trios: Guess who you are (also known as 20 questions).
Water Fun (and science!): We will fill up water balloons with varying amounts of water to see which balloons are easier to burst. We’ll discuss what effects the water has on the balloons.
In the Garden: Visit our garden, learn garden etiquette, prepare our beds, and plant seeds!
Cheer: Work on choreography!
Don’t Try This At Home! (Experience is the best teacher): Safety first! What to do in an emergency. First aid. Troubleshooting possibilities. Calculated risks. Then we will glue our fingers together with super glue.
How to be a Warrior Cat: Learn about the clan system, naming system, and different positions for clan members. Invent your own character for the class!
Crochet Circle: Learn how to hold a crochet hook, tie a knot, chaining, counting chains.
Cosmetology: Introduction to cosmetology! Learn to shampoo, dry, and do a simple style.
